Kazakhstan updates IP laws
On 24 November 2025, the President of Kazakhstan signed Law No. 233-VIII, amending major IP laws like the Civil Code, the Trade Mark Law, the Patent Law and the Copyright Law, and the new law came into effect from 25 January 2026.

Madrid Protocol fees revised for Finland
Pursuant to the provisions of the Common Regulations under the Madrid Agreement and Protocol Concerning the International Registration of Marks, the Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization on 26 January 2026 notified the revised individual fees applicable when Finland is designated in an international application or in an application for renewal of an international registration or is a subject of subsequent designation.
