Madrid Protocol fees revised for Cuba

Based on a declaration from the Government of Cuba and in line with the Common Regulations under the Madrid Agreement and Protocol concerning the International Registration of Marks, the Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization announced on 21 November 2025 the revised individual fees payable when Cuba is designated in an international application or in an application for renewal of international registration or is a subject of subsequent designation.

U.S. apex court to resolve WALLSTREETBETS trademark dispute?

In Rogozinski v. Reddit, Rogozinski filed a petition the U.S. Supreme Court on 17 November 2025, asking the Court to review a Ninth Circuit decision, where the appellate court affirmed the district court’s dismissal and concluded that Reddit, not the creator of the subreddit, owned the WALLSTREETBETS trademark due to its role in providing the core services underlying the community.
